Ocean Dreams Cottage
242-333-5378 A beautiful brand new (December 2007) cottage. This cottage is right on the beautiful mile and a half long beach that lines the north shore of the island. Step of the porch and onto the gorgeous white sand beach. Enjoy this breathtaking view of the ocean and the beach from two separate decks. This secluded getaway has 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and is spacious enough for the whole family sleeping 8 people comfortably ( will sleep 10 with a Full size futon sofa bed and a roll away cot ). The master bedroom suite features a king size bed with French doors leading onto a 90 square ft. balcony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Sunrises and sunsets from this bedroom and balcony are breathtaking At night cruise ships are frequently seen passing by. The moon and stars can easily be seen while lying in bed in this suite. All the amenities of home with a view of paradise. Fully air conditioned for your comfort with cable television and high speed wireless internet. Internet service is available right on the beach. You can get away and you can still keep in touch with family back home. Soak up some sun or take a dip in the beautiful turquoise water or just relax under the sun it's all at your finger tips. Bone fishing is also just a 30 second walk from the cottage. If you would like to see even more of the ocean there is a boat available for rent. Any properties advertised on this site are privately owned and operated. Spanish Wells is really a small town on the island of St. George's Cay. Located just off the north end of the larger island of Eleuthera. Our main source of income is lobster fishing. The waterfront is lined with fishing boats which range in size from about 40-75 feet in length. The life of a fisherman requires that you must sometimes leave home for up to 4 weeks at a time. The fishing boats are equipped with freezers to store the lobster in until they reach port for sale. The fishermen use smaller boats ( 18-20 feet ) to dive from then catch the lobster. They are then taken to the big boats for freezing. Then the lobster tails are brought back to port for sale to a processor who then ships the tails to different countries. Spanish Wells fisherman pride themselves on delivering top quality lobster to the consumer. The people here are know all over the country for their hard work, community spirit, friendliness, and strong principles. We are a small community but we are on the cutting edge when it comes to technology. You name it we have it. From computers, with the latest and greatest processor's, to high speed internet access. The island is a quiet getaway with all you need to keep in touch with home or the office. | ||
